Playa del Carmen
Secluded Beach Logistics
This location is a remote public shoreline south of Playa del Carmen, known for its natural scenery and early-morning calm. It offers a quieter atmosphere compared to central beaches, but it remains a public space, meaning complete privacy cannot be guaranteed. The experience is designed around timing and distance to naturally reduce public presence.
Location Nature & Access
The area is located south of the town center, beyond Playacar, and has no direct road or highway access. Entry is achieved only by walking along the shoreline, where terrain may include uneven sand and occasional rocks. The natural setting is part of its visual appeal, but it also requires realistic logistical planning.
Meeting Point & Distance Reference
Couples are encouraged to review Google Maps beforehand to understand the travel distance and physical effort involved. A practical reference point is the ADO Playa del Carmen – Tourist Terminal.
From this meeting area, the shoreline walk to the secluded zone is approximately 60 minutes one way. This reference helps evaluate overall travel time, transportation planning, and personal stamina required for the experience.
Schedule & Timing
Sessions are planned around sunrise only to maintain softer natural light and reduced visitor activity. Couples meet approximately one and a half hours before sunrise near the ADO terminal.
Because travel distance varies depending on accommodation location, guests should consider whether they will be driving themselves or arranging transportation in advance to ensure timely arrival. The shoreline walk begins in low light, arriving at the location just as the first natural light appears.
Walking Distance & Physical Condition
The shoreline walk averages 60 minutes each way, resulting in approximately two hours of walking in total. The surface consists of natural sand and coastal terrain. A good physical condition is strongly recommended, as the session itself follows the walk, and overall stamina directly influences comfort and pacing.
Coastal Accommodation Advantage
Couples who wish to reduce or avoid the longer shoreline walk may consider staying at a hotel or villa along the southern coastal line near Playacar. Proximity to the coastline can significantly simplify logistics and shorten walking distance, depending on the exact property location and available beach access points.
Some of the closest resort references along this stretch include Palmaïa – The House of AïA and Sandos Playacar, both located near accessible coastal sections that may help reduce overall walking distance compared to staying in the downtown or northern hotel zones.
Seasonal Tide Considerations
During certain seasons of the year, tide levels may rise, making shoreline access before sunrise temporarily unavailable. In these situations, entry may need to be delayed until approximately 7:00 AM, when the Playacar complex allows pedestrian access through its internal routes.
Because of this natural condition, reviewing accommodation options along this coastal stretch — from the Fisherman area through Palmaïa — can help reduce uncertainty and improve overall planning flexibility.
Exceptional Internal Passage (Exit Only)
In rare situations, guests staying within the same hotel chain properties may be granted temporary internal passage by security strictly for exiting the area and reaching a taxi zone after the session. These situations are exceptional and entirely discretionary, based on internal hotel coordination.
This type of passage should never be expected or relied upon, as most resorts normally deny entry or transit to non-guests under standard conditions.
Privacy Considerations
Although early-morning timing significantly reduces activity, the beach remains public. Occasional encounters with joggers, local fishermen, or distant boats may occur. The shoreline is wide, and repositioning is generally possible, but complete isolation cannot be guaranteed.
Preparation & Facilities
Facilities are limited, so planning arrival and departure times in advance is recommended.
For general comfort tips and session preparation, you may review the Getting Ready Guide before your shoot
Transportation After the Session
After returning to the downtown area, guests can easily arrange a taxi back to their hotel.
Natural Conditions
Coastal conditions may vary seasonally depending on wind, tides, and general beach activity.
For updated environmental patterns and seasonal expectations, you may review the Weather Guide before planning your session.
Personal Belongings
Guests are encouraged to bring only essential items during the session. High-value or luxury belongings that may be left unattended on the shoreline are not recommended, as this is a public outdoor environment without storage or supervision facilities.
Photography Presence
All sessions are conducted by Jorge Rodriguez Photographer only. No assistants, crew members, or third parties are present during the shoot.
Professional Scope of Services
Services are limited exclusively to artistic and portrait photography. No modeling, escort, or third-party participation arrangements are offered or facilitated as part of the session.
Third-Party Attendance Policy
If a client or couple chooses to invite a third person to be present during the session, that individual must sign a consent and terms acknowledgment form prior to the shoot. This ensures alignment with privacy standards, session boundaries, and professional conditions for all participants.
For any additional logistical questions, I’m happy to provide guidance before your session.
