Finest Playa Mujeres Wedding

Morgan and I met on St. Patrick's Day in 2014 while we were both in college. Despite going to separate colleges, we spent our winter and summer breaks together until Morgan graduated in 2016. When she graduated, I still had one year left of school, so that was our decision to move in together while I finished up.

Fast forward to 1 dog, 3 apartments, and finally 1 house later, Morgan proposed to me on December 20th, 2020. The proposal took place in our own home where we started opening Christmas gifts for each other. After opening my last gift, Morgan said she had one more gift for me, and I had to "find it" on our Christmas tree. Eventually (and with some help), I found the ring on the tree and immediately said yes.

We always said we were going to have a destination wedding because our family and friends are from different states, so we wanted everyone to meet in one place. Where else but Mexico? Specifically, we chose Cancun because it would be much less flying time for a majority of our guests.

Once we decided on Cancun, the Finest was immediately our top choice because of their flexibility and offerings to us. We didn't feel like we'd be stuck in a strict wedding package. Also, looking at the Finest online was just absolutely gorgeous. The swim-up suites immediately grabbed our attention.

We look back at our wedding day as the best day of our lives. It's simple as that. We have since been to a few other weddings after ours, and nothing compares to our day and the amount of fun we and everyone else had. Because of the amazing experience we had at the Finest, we already booked March 2023 to return on our one-year wedding anniversary. That will be 9 years Morgan and I have been together in total, and for our 10 years, we are hoping to bring back some friends and family again to the Finest.
