"The boudoir photo session helped me"

From a very young age until almost an adult, I was overweight. It was difficult for me to overcome both physically and mentally. I always had the burden of my weight in my mind, giving me depression and many insecurities. I've always played a sport. For most of my life, I practiced rugby, which helped me to recognize my potential despite my appearance.

I learned that the body is what we make it and it can give us what we want, it just depended on me. I worked a lot on my physical appearance with diets and hard workouts but it was not until I learned that I just need to work on feeling good about myself, to start looking good. My physique changed quickly, it was easy to eliminate the fat that covered my muscles and define the appearance but the mental barriers were still there; it was always in the back of my mind what people would think of me.

So I began to practice exercises with my body, such as being naked in my house or sunbathing naked, until one day I went out without a shirt on and didn't care if people looked at me. My time in Mexico helped me with my insecurities about how I saw myself, so much so that in the photo session (my very first professional photo session in my life!) I broke through all my mental barriers because I felt comfortable, I looked good and that was all that mattered.
